Where are the outdoor areas?

Look for designated areas outside your terminal. Heathrow’s interactive terminal maps show where to go. Check the map for your terminal before going through departures security.

Can I smoke during a connection?

There are no smoking or vaping areas along the transfer route. To use the outdoor areas, Heathrow says you must pass through passport control to exit and clear security again to return. Check whether you can enter the UK and whether you have enough time before leaving the transfer area.

Check the airport’s latest information

Heathrow’s official smoking and vaping information and terminal maps. Locations and access can change; follow airport signs on the day.
